Global Recognition for Digital Mental Health Innovation
Aotearoa’s digital mental health innovation has been recognised on the global stage. Ember Innovations received the eMental Health International Collaborative (eMHIC) 2025 Global Leadership Excellence Award for Aotearoa New Zealand, one of the highest international recognitions in digital mental health.
The award acknowledged the team’s vision and commitment to innovation, inclusive leadership, and culturally grounded approaches that improve access to mental health information, care, support, and treatment, particularly for communities who are often underserved.
The Group was represented at the awards by Ember Korowai Takitini Group CEO Darryl Bishop MNZM, who accepted the recognition on behalf of the wider organisation.
Induction into eMHIC’s Digital Mental Health Hall of Fame recognised the work of innovators and lived experience leaders, partners across Aotearoa and internationally, and kaimahi who continue to support change across systems and services.
